ISA CTEEP joins the Collective Action for Integrity in the Electric Power Sector

ISA CTEEP invests R$ 784 million in transmission system renewal and sets a historic record
Committed to generating sustainable value through projects that enhance the safety of the electrical system, ISA CTEEP — a leader in Brazil’s energy transmission sector — invested R$ 784.4 million in the renewal of its installed infrastructure from January to September. This represents a 46% increase compared to the R$ 537.6 million recorded in the previous year. It marks the highest level of modernization investment in ISA CTEEP’s history.
ISA CTEEP completes the reconstruction of assets in Serra do Mar and energizes the Baixada Santista-Tijuco Preto transmission line
ISA CTEEP, the leader in the power transmission sector in the country, completed and energized the reconstruction of the 345 kV Baixada Santista-Tijuco Preto C3 transmission line, located in the Serra do Mar, between Santo André and Cubatão (SP). With activities carried out over 11 months, the company renewed 9.6 km of transmission line and reconstructed 22 power towers, aiming to preserve the safety and reliability of power supply for the National Interconnected System (SIN), primarily benefiting the coastline of the State of São Paulo. The investment projected by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) was R$ 45 million.

According to consulting firm McKinsey, Brazil holds 15% of the global potential for carbon capture through preserved forests. However, the country currently utilizes less than 1% of its annual capacity for generating carbon credits. Furthermore, according to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Brazil has a potential carbon credit market worth US$ 120 billion, which could boost the country’s GDP by 5%.
