ISA CTEEP joins the Collective Action for Integrity in the Electric Power Sector
São Paulo, December 7, 2023 – In line with its commitment to adopting best market practices for promoting ethics and compliance, and in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), ISA CTEEP — Brazil’s leading energy transmission company — announces its voluntary adherence to the Collective Action for Integrity in the Electric Power Sector, an initiative launched by the United Nations Global Compact in Brazil in celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9).
This collective action represents a public commitment to integrity and offers signatory organizations a reference framework for strengthening a culture of integrity within the electric power sector. Its goals include mobilizing various stakeholders to build an ethical and healthy environment, encouraging fair competition, and promoting the fundamental principles of ethical and transparent conduct in public-private relations.
“At ISA CTEEP, we are committed to generating sustainable value, which includes strengthening ethical principles such as integrity, responsibility, and protection of life — extended throughout our entire value chain. By joining this important initiative of the UN Global Compact in Brazil, we reinforce the company’s commitment to decision-making processes based on transparency and integrity,” says Hugo Nicolas Genoni, Executive Director of Audit and Risk at ISA CTEEP.
ISA CTEEP has been a signatory of the UN Global Compact since 2011 and actively participates in initiatives promoted by the Brazil Network. Through this new commitment, the company incorporates into its governance the 10 universal principles that ensure respect for human rights, anti-corruption, environmental preservation, and the promotion of decent work. ISA CTEEP is also part of the Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption and the Business Movement for Integrity, Transparency, and the Fight Against Corruption, both led by the Ethos Institute.
To ensure alignment across all employees with these principles, ISA CTEEP has implemented a Corporate Ethics and Compliance Program, which includes a series of procedures and tools designed to prevent, detect, and respond to situations that conflict with legislation and corporate values. The Code of Ethics and Conduct outlines the ethical principles to be followed by all leaders, employees, and business partners. Additionally, the company is guided by its Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy, which sets ethical standards to prevent conflicts of interest and combat fraud, corruption, and bribery in all forms — including a Supplier Code of Conduct.
